Artist's Description
This painting was inspired by several things. Primarily it was inspired by my experience at a wine bar in Napa California, where the guests sat on couches surrounding a lively guitar player. I based the style of this painting on an earlier painting I had done, called "Tree of Life" and that painting was of course inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night. This painting was done primarily with lot's of layering of yellow, red, and blue.
About Cory Calantropio
I'm a mostly self-taught artist, currently residing in Humboldt County, CA. My works are mostly done in watercolor but vary in styles from photo-realism to abstract. Some of my sea life themed works are influenced by having spent 5 years living in the San Juan Islands, WA. I have not had a prolific, nor successful art career, but I envision that all changing in next couple years. I intend to use Fine Art America as the means to offer prints of my work.
