This painting may remind you of Van Gogh's Starry Night. I had done a watercolor version of Starry Night as a gift for some friends prior to doing this painting. Tree of Life was originally going to be called Family Tree. When the painting was finished it looked so lively to me, I had to name it Tree of Life. That is the name of one of two significant trees in the Garden of Eden. That gave me the incentive to do a second painting to make a set. The original is available to be sold as a set with The Tree Of Knowledge of Good and Bad.

I'm a mostly self-taught artist, currently residing in Humboldt County, CA. My works are mostly done in watercolor but vary in styles from photo-realism to abstract. Some of my sea life themed works are influenced by having spent 5 years living in the San Juan Islands, WA. I have not had a prolific, nor successful art career, but I envision that all changing in next couple years. I intend to use Fine Art America as the means to offer prints of my work.
