Artist's Description
This painting is based on a combination of Van Gogh's paintings, "Wheatfield with Cypresses", "Wheatfield with Mountains", "Green Wheatfield with Cypress". It was done on the foundation exterior of a home, (just below the siding). Four photo's were taken of sections of the painting and then stitched together in photoshop in order to get a high resolution of this extra long and narrow painting.
About Cory Calantropio
I'm a mostly self-taught artist, currently residing in Humboldt County, CA. My works are mostly done in watercolor but vary in styles from photo-realism to abstract. Some of my sea life themed works are influenced by having spent 5 years living in the San Juan Islands, WA. I have not had a prolific, nor successful art career, but I envision that all changing in next couple years. I intend to use Fine Art America as the means to offer prints of my work.
