Spunky is the name of the dog in this painting. When you said, Go get em Spunky, she would immediately look for a lizard or a squirrel, anything that might be in or under nearby hiding areas. So all I had to do was stand next to this nice arrangement of bricks with my camera and say , get em.
I'm a mostly self-taught artist, currently residing in Humboldt County, CA. My works are mostly done in watercolor but vary in styles from photo-realism to abstract. Some of my sea life themed works are influenced by having spent 5 years living in the San Juan Islands, WA. I have not had a prolific, nor successful art career, but I envision that all changing in next couple years. I intend to use Fine Art America as the means to offer prints of my work. If you'd like to see a broader representation of my art, I invite you to look up the user name coryart on youtube and see the video "Some of my Watercolor Art over the years".

This is darling. I don't know what that puppy has found, but I know the look. The light is gorgeous too. I love the way he disappears into the sun.
