Artist's Description
This painting has the skywalk with a silhouette of a parent and child enjoying the walk high up in the Redwood trees. It has flamingos, river otters and of course the Red Panda, all well known residents of The Sequoia Park Zoo. This acrylic painting was done with some elements of the Van Gough starry night style perhaps capturing the 'magical' experience one has when visiting this zoo.
About Cory Calantropio
I'm a mostly self-taught artist, currently residing in Humboldt County, CA. My works are mostly done in watercolor but vary in styles from photo-realism to abstract. Some of my sea life themed works are influenced by having spent 5 years living in the San Juan Islands, WA. I have not had a prolific, nor successful art career, but I envision that all changing in next couple years. I intend to use Fine Art America as the means to offer prints of my work.
